In the present study, the species Bregmatothripsdimorphus(Priesner, 1919) collected on Johnson grass (Sorghum halepense) in Tang-e Hammam, Chavar County (Ilam Province), is reported for the first time from Iran. The diagnostic morphological traits and geographical distribution of the newly recorded species are detailed. Additionally, an identification key for the three recognized species of this genus in Iran is included.
