Body size has important effects on fitness components of parasitoids, and often use as a standard measure of quality control. In the present study, the most appreciate morphological feature that provides the best correlation with body size and egg load in a sexual population of the parasitoid wasp, Lysiphlebus fabarum (Marshall) was determined, when females reared on different nymphal instars of the host aphid, Aphis fabae Scopoli. The experiments were performed under standardized conditions in a growth chamber (21 ± 1°C, 60–70% RH, and 16L : 8D), and candidate metrics were head width, length of the right forewing, and length of the right hind tibia. According to results, head width emerged as the most suitable proxy for total body length of females that were reared in the 2nd nymphal instar (the most suitable host growth stage for mass rearing), while length of the right forewing yielded the highest correlation with total body length, when the data of wasps reared in all four nymphal instars were pooled. Egg load increased linearly with body length across all host growth stages, and the forewing length had the highest correlation with females reared in all four nymphal instars, so it may serve as a better predictor of egg load than other measurements. The results suggest that forewing length can be used as a proxy of quality control in mass rearing of this population of L. fabarum.         }, keywords = {Quality control,Mass rearing,body size,egg load,Aphis fabae}, title_fa = {تعیین بهترین شاخص ریخت سنجی در کنترل کیفی جمعیت جنسی زنبور پارازیتوئید (Lysiphlebus fabarum (Braconidae: Aphidiinae}, abstract_fa = {فقدان روش کنترل کیفیت طی پرورش انبوه دشمنان طبیعی ممکن است منجر به شکست برنامه های کنترل زیستی شود. اندازه بدن به عنوان یک معیار موثر بر ویژگی های زیستی، به طور معمول در کنترل کیفی پارازیتوئیدها مورد ارزیابی قرار می‌گیرد. در این پژوهش مناسب ترین شاخص ریخت‌ سنجی که بتواند بیشترین همبستگی را با اندازه بدن و بار تخم در جمعیت جنسی زنبور (Lysiphlebus fabarum (Marshall، هنگام پرورش روی سنین مختلف پورگی شته سیاه باقلا، Aphis fabae Scopoli برقرار کند، تعیین شد. آزمایش‌ها در اطاق رشد (دمای 1 ± 21 درجه سلسیوس، رطوبت نسبی 70-60% و دوره نوری 16:8 تاریکی: روشنایی) انجام شد و شاخص های ریخت‌سنجی مورد مطالعه شامل عرض کپسول سر، طول بال جلو و طول ساق پای عقب بودند. بر اساس نتایج، عرض کپسول سر به عنوان بهترین شاخص برای پیشگویی طول بدن در زنبورهای پرورش یافته روی پوره سن دوم شته سیاه باقلا (مناسب‌ترین سن میزبان برای پرورش زنبور) تعیین شد، در حالی که طول بال جلو به عنوان بهترین شاخص در کل پوره‌های مورد مطالعه معرفی شد. همچنین بار تخم ارتباط مستقیمی با اندازه بدن در زنبورهای پرورش یافته در چهار سن پورگی شته میزبان داشت و طول بال، بیشترین همبستگی را با بار تخم زنبورهای پرورش یافته در چهار سن پورگی نشان داد. مطابق با نتایج به دست آمده، طول بال جلو یک شاخص مناسب برای نظارت کیفی در پرورش انبوه این جمعیت زنبور L. fabarum می‌باشد. }, keywords_fa = {کنترل کیفی,پرورش انبوه,اندازه بدن,بار تخم,شته سیاه باقلا}, url = {https://iprj.guilan.ac.ir/article_275.html}, eprint = {https://iprj.guilan.ac.ir/article_275_15ce6cd0f109432e1f11dcda5d0aacee.pdf} }
